Cover Bandit

In short Cover Bandit is a music store in 3D. A music store where one can search and browse almost every album an artist has released. For inspiration or further interest one can explore similar albums.

All the albums are shown as three dimensional CD cases in the three dimensional space of Cover Bandit with on the front side the original cover, on the backside a virtual cover showing track titles and pricing.

Every album and CD cover is loaded from the Amazon.com database. Therefore the albums shown in Cover Bandit are the albums in stock at Amazon.com.

The current prototype of Cover Bandit only shows the easy navigation to, browsing and finding, albums. In future versions of Cover Bandit we are aiming to make a fully functional online CD store. A CDstore where one can listen to tracks on a album, put CDs in a collection box and buy them from Amazon.com in the end.

The Jeystore

The Jeystore is a conceptual online DVD shop that explores how far you are willing to go when it comes to drag’n drop. The core idea is that you should be able to browse unlimited movies simultaneously without having to replace the information on the screen. Since all information is presented in new widgets it’s up to you whether you want to keep the information on the screen or not.

The core idea also consists of an experiment to limit as many buttons as possible from the widgets themselves. Instead of having numerous function buttons on each widget, the Jeystore make use of a function menu from where you drag an icon to the widget you’d like to perform the action on. Functions like sorting; filtering and page navigation is done this way.

To get started you drag any of the tabs beneath the main menu onto the Shopping Floor. From a movie list, like the Top Sellers tab, you can drag any movie out onto the Shopping Floor to get some additional information about that particular movie. Close widgets by dragging them to the Trashcan or by clicking the X-button. To put a movie in the Shopping Cart you drag it into the shopping cart image. You will get the new sum of your purchases as well as eventual warnings prior to dropping the item. The Shopping Cart-widget will keep track of the content.

Note that this is no real shop, you can’t actually buy anything from The Jeystore.

PandaVideo

PandaVideo is an interface where the visitor can search for videos, and the search results are displayed in a 3D environment. The data comes from the video site blip.tv and the Flash 3D engine Papervision is used to display it.

A search field is the first thing displayed when entering the site, and the visitor can type in any search word and hit enter. The search results is generated by parsing the feed from blip.tv, and then displayed in a Papervision3D carousel.

The visitor navigates the site by using the keyboard. Left and right arrow keys are used to slide between the different videos. If they find a video the want to see, the just hit space to watch it, and escape to go back.

This with that

When buying clothes it can be nice to have an uncomplicated overview of what you are planning to buy before adding to cart. Therefore we have created an application that can be used on almost every web shop on the Internet. The company can add this application to enchant their shop. The purpose of this function is to help the customers when buying clothes, by letting them match the clothes they are interesting in before putting them in the shopping bag. Giving them the opportunity to flip between the hats, t-shirt, pants etc they’re interesting in to se what go with what. This will of course be visualised in the order you wear it. In the “cloth matching window” you can also remove the items you don’t think match with the other cloths or add the items you like to the shopping cart.

There’s also a hidden shopping cart on the bottom of the site, which easily can be shown by just mouse over. This cart contains options like: changing the size of the item, deleting items and the price.
