Aina Cecilie Ørebech

www.ainaorebech.com

My background consists of photography and art studies which have given me a varied knowledge both with work processes, techniques and software, about the visual and cultural field.
I have an interest in design in a broad way, because I think that design surrounds our lives.
I think visual communication is more than aesthetics. Design has a responsibility and a potential to communicate both the society's and the individuals' ideas, attitudes, emotions and mutuality.
I believe to have a good visual understanding and the ability to formulate complex ideas in an easy and intelligible way.
I am looking for an internship that allows me combine previous experiences with new challenges.

Alva Nachenius

Hello there
I love to draw and create illustrations which is one of my strength but well I also like to work with print, concept design, packaging design, motion.

I like playing, playing games, all sorts of games that's probably why I have this new obsession with 3D which I have recently started learning as well.

Have a look at my portfolio - gogo

Andreas Fernhede Dagman

www.hellodagman.com

My background prior to Hyper Island consists of web development studies and two years studying spatial planning. I'm very interested in fashion and design. Maybe caring a bit too much about what I wear. As for design, it is something I'm very passionate about and love to work with it. For the last year I've been more focused on illustrations and static creations. This to keep on developing my old aesthetic background with analogue illustrations and drawings.

For the coming period of internship placements I'm looking for a suitable enviroment where I really can be a part of the production process and maintain the creative freedom that I highly value. And also the opportunity and possiblity to develop my skills and abilities.

Andreas Widman

I have a genuine interest in communication and I’ve been working with marketing, design and sales the last couple of years. As a project manager, one of my biggest strength is that I’m able to understand and work efficiently with both designers and developers, thanks to my design and online production background. I’m the driving force behind a team and I am an hard working, ambitious person.

I'm interested in working with management and marketing strategies at a creative company anywhere in the world, helping them to create smart and effective communication.

Carin Nilsson

www.carinnilsson.com

Who I am? I’m a non-complicated, young, fast learning person with a positive attitude, who laugh, talk and sing a lot.
Ever since I was a little kid I have explored my creativity by drawing, writing and making music. And this is probably what I will do for the rest of my life too.
Since I’m pretty new in this business, the thing I want to learn most from my internship is how the business works and to get the opportunity to try out different things so I can get the ultimate learning experience.
Some of my good qualities besides being creative is that I’m curious, have a high ambition and that I am good at evolving ideas.
If you think I sound like an interesting person, why not check out my portfolio, or get in touch with me, because I love talking to new people!

Dennis Gustafsson

www.dennisgustafsson.se

My name is Dennis.

I'm an idea person first, a designer second, a tech-nerd - always. I like to take a creative tack on everything, to think bigger, bolder and stronger than everybody else and then stun them by actually making it work. I like old computer graphics and analogue things like yarn, oscilloscopes and video casettes.

In the future I would like to work with digital advertising, preferably in a creative team combining great design ideas and innovative technical magic.

My goals for internship is to gain a better understanding of the digital advertising industry and to get some hands on experience of different parts of the work cycle.

When I'm not at school I like to hang out with friends, watch movies, go clubbing, play around with my computer and think up new ideas.

Emelie Ivansson

emelieivansson.com

I am a designer, photographer and a constantly smiling girl. My life so far has been all about creativity in different ways. That’s what I do, and that’s what I love. My work is not about creating nice things, most of the times it’s about portray a feeling or a message. I have lots of thoughts and opinions and design is my way to express that. As a person I’m easy going, energetic and a too big fan of chocolate.
I wish to end up at a nice, pink and creative agency which will give me the opportunity to develop, work like hell and have a great time.
My goals and is to grow as a designer and get a broader experience of the industry.

Emil Rydberg

Heya!

I think I am shortly described as the guy who loves doing motion graphics and illustrating monsters.

That’s not all I have to give, no, I can also be very happy and I am motivated and eager to come to a company with a warm atmosphere, which will give me the experience that I am looking for.

The things I like to do in my spare time are workout and if there is snow off course snowboarding. I also like being out with my friends and drinking lots of beers.

As you can see I am pretty sweet looking so why don’t you check out my sweet portfolio also?

Peace and internship!

I fell in love with music when I was young and now I am here at Hyper Island to learn new ways to express my creativity.
The creative process is what triggers me the most about design. Coming up with concepts and ideas and then getting the opportunity to make them reality is something I really love.
Oh yeah, ridin' BMX, kickin' beats to the rythm and having a good time are my other interests!

Filip Redelius

I grew up in the contrast of a small inland town and the exotic sounds and colours of my father's Pet shop. The first homepage I did was actually for my father's Pet shop.

Longing for the world outside of cages I studied sociology and went for field studies to Bangladesh and Nepal. This was great inspiration. Colour, form and words fascinate me and putting them together in motion is great fun! At Hyper Island I've worked hard to develop my skills in design and making ideas come true. I'm hard working and eager to learn.

I’ll do the design!

I find design and looks amazing. It’s amazing how even the smallest thoughts behind designing and packaging changes the whole feeling of anything.

In the near future I would love to work somewhere that allows me to constantly develop within design. I mainly like to work with branding, graphical profiles, prints and packaging. But also with web-design & layout and concepts & ideas. I love it all!

Want to know more about me? Mail me at fredrik.twede@hyperisland.se.

Cheers!

Fredrik Zirath

These first months at Hyper Island have been really intense - I'm learning and producing a lot more than before. My studies at Hyper Island are based on what I have brought with me from my previous education: a broad knowledge of media and strong focus on graphics, which is my speciality and greatest interest. I feel that this is the real turning point were I am really getting the chance to go deep, broad and focus on design while trying to develop as much as possible.

I’m 19 years old and my goal is to continue do what I love and to be really good at graphic design. The perfect place to have my internship on is a place with a great atmosphere were we can have a lot of fun together.

Hampus Lideborg

www.hampuslideborg.com

Yeah!

Describe me with three words and it would end up with, passionate, photographer and designer.

It all started with some lego pieces. To create stuff out of nothing is something that always inspired me. To watch a pen work a white paper and end up with a monster, logo or a random sketch is what I think a pretty cool thing.

So I mostly do print and photography but this year at Hyper Island I’ve started with motion and 3D and see that as something I might want to work with in the future.

On my spare time I like to do different boardsports depending on the weather. Been skateboarding for quite a while now and I must say that i love that sport. Go out clubbing and party is of course a nice thing to do as well.

So now you got to know a part of my personal side, want to know more? Contact me and check out my portfolio.

I’m a geek.

A geek in the sense that, if I find something I think is interesting, it will be difficult to keep me away from absorbing every ounce of knowledge I can gather on that one thing and see how I can put it to use. Previously, my focus has been on creative writing, something I still thoroughly enjoy, but the last couple of years I have really sunk my teeth into the world of design, and being here at Hyper Island is like sucking at the vein.

Anyways, if you feel like contacting me regarding an internship, work, to have a pleasant conversation or just look at my work, you should visit my site.

Jesper Lindborg

People would probably describe me as an all-around designer with a great taste for colors and shapes. Others may call me an easy-going guy with good work-ethics who enjoys new challenges. I have always had an urge to be creative, and with the use of today’s greatest media tool, the web, there is probably no limit to my creativity and potential.

Hyper Island has been the next step for me in every aspect of my personal development. And that being the different digital crafts, management and social skills. And that is not mentioning all the great insight in the digital media scene I’ve received. Hyper Island has really given me an extra edge.

Jimmie Österberg

www.jimmieosterberg.se

My name is Jimmie Österberg, I’m a developer with a good eye for design, currently a student of Digital Media at Hyper Island, Karlskrona – Tech Specialization. I have a good understanding of HTML and CSS at the moment I’m working on improving my PHP, MYSQL, AJAX and XML. On my free time I’m looking into 3D Animation, I wish to develop this skill to help my design work.

I’m into kite surfing, though it is hard to fit it in my schedule around school, work and my girlfriend at the moment. In the future I see myself in a small firm working with website development. That is why I want to go to a small or medium web agency in an English speaking country.

Joakim Andersson

I'm in Amsterdam, interning at Tribal DDB as a... 'creative intern'
So far so good.

When I’m not working late at Hyper Island I like to play board games, consume various forms of Pop-culture and read about weird stuff.

I like writing copy, producing and making up new concepts, I’m also interested in branding and the user experience.

Being rather diverse I can sum it all up in a few words: I like making stuff up. And I feel like I’m finally getting good at it after 26 years.

Johanna Boäng

www.johannaboang.com

I am a person who has always had a big interest in both design and exploring the world. This has led me to many exciting places and encounters around the world, including three years of studies in visual communication in Australia, and one year of seeking inspiration in Japan.
As I am interested in people and I love to make things happen, I am specialising in project management here at Hyper Island. By combining my previous experiences with everything I learn during my time at Hyper Island, I will venture out in the world ready to take part in challenging and interesting projects, with an open mind and eager to evolve.

Johanna Tannerfors

www.johannatannerfors.com

I’ve been managing the creativesunlimited.com project and it’s through experiences like this that I’ve come to realize how well my skills suit the role of the project manager. I love the creative part of the digital media industry and by experience I know that I'm good at planning and organization and good at making things happen. When I'm set for a goal I always make sure I get there!

I’m currently doing my internship at Method in San Francisco where I'm getting the opportunity to put my project management skills to practice and get an even better insight in to the digital industry.

Johannes Mathisson

Hi, my name is Johannes. I’m mostly interested in tech but does some design as well. Coding is my main interest and that’s what I like to do the most. I prefer to feel the code in my fingertips and therefore I try to code as much as possible manually. I really enjoy to work with databases and to do the back-end CMS programming. Functionality and interactivity are my guiding stars when it comes to web design. I’m all into customizable design as a part of my wish to personalize the web. I’m no expert in technology but I always try to learn more and to test new methods and approaches to a problem. I want to do my internship in any English-speaking country on an agency that put me to the test and gives me the opportunity to learn more from experienced people.

Ever since birth I have been living in a creative environment with creative people, I have chosen Hyper Island because I would like to continue with that.

Learning new things, and specially trying new things is something I would be satisfied of doing during my internship. But also have a laugh once in a while during a creative process. The atmosphere and the people is for me more important than the agency's location and past work. Though I'm not afraid for changes, I would love a new country with another culture than I’m used to.

Kristoffer Ekman

I'm an aspiring project management student with an affinity for smart solutions and relations. Work wise I've got previous experience from movie- and music productions and I know how to create a successful team.

With over 10 years of experience in a wide range of occupations, both analogue and digital, I've gained advantageous experiences. This has shaped and defined my hard-working spirit and devotion. In addition to organising various projects in Sweden and on an international scale, I'm a founding member of Duke, a group focused on showcasing exciting fresh and smart interactive campaigns and sites.

August 2008 sees the beginning of my international internship and during that period I intend to strengthen my skills within advertising, branding and marketing.
I'm always looking to be a part of interesting projects and collaborations, feel free to drop me a line.

Max Olander

Hi! I'm a self-taught webdesigner from Örebro, Sweden. I like to create beautiful websites that are coded according to web standards and where a lot of effort have been put into structure and usability. In my spare time I listen to awesome music, eat snacks and watch tv shows.

Nicolas Chifflet

www.nicochi.se

Hello!

I come from a creative background and a South American family where art always has been close by. I've been drawing since I was a kid and have specialized in character design which I find most interesting.

In a company I can bring fresh ideas to the table, I love humor and find it great when a more or less twisted idea gets implemented on a concept and work. I'm very familiar with the Adobe (Macromedia) software especially Photoshop and Illustrator.

Motion is a passion I have, maybe not the typical After Effects though I use the software, but a more traditional 2D comic mixed with 3D modeling. I hope to develop more within the two.

When it comes to programming I control xhtml and css plus the basics of Flash, this is not really my game though.

Thank you for your time and hope to meet you soon!

Niklas Palm

Peace love and respect for the web.

Niklas Jönsson

plastweb.se

Hi! This is Niklas, also known as ”Plast”, a flexible tech nerd in an ever-changing world. I can do design and motion as well but my specialty is the tech part. I have experience in JavaScript, PHP, CSS, mySQL, HTML and Action Script. Most code basically works the same, it just looks a bit different so I see no problem in learning i.e. ASP if requested.

One of my strengths is my logical way of thinking and sense for mathematics. That’s probably why I have been doing a lot of coding at Hyper Island, I think it’s fun while many others don’t. I also have skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects and a couple of years ago I did some 3D modelling in 3D Studio Max. That’s the “technical information” about me. In short I’m an easygoing guy who likes brainstorming and problem solving. Check out my portfolio at www.plastweb.se for further information.

I'm a 19 year old designer with a big passion for what I do.
My friends describe me as a perfectionist who put a lot of effort in my work. I have an eye for detail and I always work to the best of my ability.

My services are pretty broad, I mainly work with print, identity, webdesign, motion graphics and I’m looking for an internship anywhere in the world where I can develop.

Rebecca Berg-Olsson

www.rebeccaberg.se

As students of Hyper Island we are told to always challenge ourselves and to take every opportunity to fail and, by failing, to learn. That is why I, a designer and illustrator, in an attempt to prove myself so heroic that it borders on the suicidal, chose technology as my specialization.

That decision says a lot about me I think, it should tell you where my passion is, in good and innovative design, and that for me happiness lies in doodling and drawing on every available piece of paper. It should also tell you that I am serious in my ambition to learn and develop, both in my skills and as a person.

In my free time I draw, hang out, work out, read design blogs and drinks gallons of tea. I also have a fetish for good packaging design.

Rikard Ekberg

www.rikardekberg.com

I've always been into the technological aspect of things, everything from the actual hardware setup, network configuration to more software oriented things such as databases and programming. I'm always curious to know how stuff works and why it works. On top of that I also have an interest for interface design, user interaction, and web design overall.

I see myself as a front-end web developer knowledgeable in AS2/AS3, XHTML and CSS that is looking to improve my skills in AJAX and Javascript. I also have some back-end development experience in PHP and MySQL. In the near future I see myself working with web development within in some of these areas at an agency that could be located anywhere in the world.

Sebastian Lundqvist

www.iambas.se

Born in the very middle of the 80s, Gothenburg Sweden. Would describe myself as a always inspired* and easygoing* guy .Others would probably describe me as ironic and a very bad looser (because I never loose). I would like to say I’m a design person, an artist. And as that may be true I think I’m more of the guy with a light bulb over his head. Although I’m an artist, I’m not a stranger to developing and coding. My belief is that these combined is the very peak of what is beautiful.

* = Things I promised myself I wouldn’t use anymore.

Simone Magurno

www.serioussituations.com

I was born in Italy in 1984.
My background studies include a bachelor degree in Communication and Media from the IULM University of Milan.
I'm passionate about design in its different forms, from editorial to interactive, as i strive to cover different areas of expertise and become a flexible professional.

What i'm looking for right now is a challenging environment, where i can learn and develop my abilities, pushing myself towards new goals in every task i'm assigned to.

Stephanie Lindgren

www.swedeniscold.com

For as long as I can remember I always had a pen, crayon or brush in my right hand, constantly drawing, and making doodles of all inspiring things within my surroundings. I get so many impressions from everyday life that fills my head with ideas for web-, print- or personal work, collaborations, t-shirt designs, stickers and much more.

So for me, as a color loving graphic designer in the making, I wish to end up at an agency where I will get the chance to excel as an illustrator and designer, but still have the opportunity to learn more about motion graphics, programming and such. Preferably some warm place, since Sweden is cold.

Im proud to say that Im off to Firstborn, NYC this fall!
It will be great to work with the talented people at Firstborn, and im looking forward to get on the plane as soon as possible! Swooosh!

I have always been surrounded with creativity. And it has appeared in different ways. Before I found my way to Hyper Island, I did the tour both in the music industry and the film industry. But I wanted to complement my skills even more. That’s why I decided to go for design.

I am looking for a creative environment with people that inspire me. My goal is to work as a concept creative and animator at an advertising bureau or a film postproduction-company. That’s where my ideas come in to action!

Tilde Mattsson

tildetilde.com

I’m all about ideas, and concepts. I want to work with conceptual design, both digital and analogue, in the role as Art Director. Concepts are what everything else in a project rests on; as long as a good idea shines through you can always engage people. A nice design can’t do all the work. I want to try everything at least once, so for my internship I want to work at a smaller design agency where I can express my creativity more freely and try different roles. Or an agency with offices in several locations, I want to have the chance of moving within an agency where I can develop and stay in the future. I find inspiration in the people I meet, Wikipedia and my hobbies. I collect My Little Ponies Hasbro's 80’s cult figurines and I also make stuff out of pearl beds.

Tore Holmberg

www.toreholmberg.se

I started out doing stuff for the web back in the days when personal websites still were king and 5mb of free hosting without banners were the ultimate joy. The design portals inspired me to continue, but I always felt that my static work lacked something. That's when I turned to the more development side of life. By adding dynamic functionality to my works I had found my calling.

During the years I've come across most common technologies, front-end as-well as back-end. My strongest sides is my solid foundation in technology and my ability to learn fast.

Working with technology and still with a good sense for design, my ideal internship would be doing creative development at an agency where I can explore my creativity by working with challenging projects and inspiring people.

My works, media and choice of tools reflect a simple philosophy in clean, functional and effective visual communication. “Born by east, raised by west” is the story of my life. Originally born in former European country of Yugoslavia I have early developed a passion for design and art. Today I can establish that my works are strongly affected by eastern political and cultural ideologies during the 80s and 90s in this part of Europe. Since my life has a new destination in Sweden for several years now this personal style has also been affected by western understanding of the world.

Apart from my current studies at Hyper Island in Karlskrona, I have been studying industrial design at Växjö University (Sweden) and graphical design at Moscow University of Design. My passion for design and motion, I can successfully combine with basic knowledge in XHTML and Action script.

I was online early last year searching for a school that would help me bring back my hibernated interest in design, on the same moment my sambo tipped me on Hyper Island. With the passion I have for design I normally try out different stuff in Photoshop and Illustrator. My goal at Hyper Island is to broaden this knowledge and learn more within the entire design field. As for the internship, I am hoping to put my learning into action and get to learn even more to be to my best as a future designer. Being so interested in advertising, I see myself working in companies dealing with graphical design both digital and in print.
